Student learning to use chopsticks in Japanese classAt Baralaba State School we are committed to delivering the Australian Curriculum for our students. We use three layers of curriculum planning—whole school curriculum plan; year level curriculum plans; unit level curriculum planning—to support the implementation of this curriculum and to support our students' learning needs and interests.

Our Whole School Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Plan (WSC&RP) (PDF, 1.1MB) provides an outline of the curriculum offered in Kindy to Year 10.  This WSC&RP achieves the aims of the P-12 Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Framework by:

  • providing students with the required curriculum
  • assessing, monitoring and capturing student achievement
  • setting high expectations for each student and by responding effectively to their current levels of achievement and differing rates of learning
  • providing feedback to parents and students around the student's achievement throughout the school year.
